Purpose in the Moment

I feel so very restored today! I have a clarity in my mind that has not been there for years. It was absent for so long, that I forgot just how important it was to me. As life came knocking and the drudgery of everyday slowly tore at my soul, I got lost in the confusion. My mind became clouded and blurry, and I took on a new level of frustration. I was so consumed by the now that I forgot to look ahead to the future, the things important to me, and the ones I love.

It can be so very critical to be in the moment. To experience what you are doing and engulf yourself in those around you. It is a wonderful feeling that allows us to step back from the drudgery and find satisfaction in those small critical things. They can be those intimate moments we remember for a lifetime. A deep conversation with a loved one that takes you to a new level of connection. Playing with the kids in the backyard and setting all aside and only focusing on them. An important project that allows you to pursue your passion.,

But with all things good, too much and over indulgence is not good. When we fail to stop and take stock of our life those moments become disjointed and unconnected.. If we don't look to the future ensuring those moments match our direction than we can get lost in those moments. We seek the moment without purpose, it becomes an isolated event, and not a quilt of life experiences. They become separated from who we are and only become individual pursuits of satisfaction. The moments leave a realm of connection and become one way in exchange to satisfy a selfish desire.

We can got lost in the hunt, forgot the big picture, set aside our dreams, push away our desires for just one single pursuit of a moment. We loose the experience of the day weaving in time. We miss the opportunities that would push us and allow us to grow. Simply we become single minded and selfish.

Oh but the joys in life are great. And the sweet truth is it is never to late to remember, it is never to let to grab back hold of you priorities and clear the cobwebs of drudgery from your mind and set yourself in a direction of restored purpose.

I will love who I am, I will love my wife and family, and will always remember my priorities. That is my clear and defined purpose. I am awake and the world is beautiful!
