Stir it Up!

OK... So I have been a bit more active on the internet lately. Well, not like me being on the internet more, cause that tends to be non-stop and has been for many years. (and not the kind like you better stop or you will go blind kind...)

However I have been a bit more active in participating on the internet and adding my 2 cents. To the point people have commented on it and appreciated it.. WOW! I have to tell you that is a real ego booster.

Now my activity has not been here... As anyone can tell from the constant updates that come through. However I did get several comments from people on my last post. Which amazed the shit out of me, I honestly did not think anyone but my mother read this (I am also real positive she does not either).

But back to point, I have been partaking in several social sites such as facebook.com, plaxo.com, twitter, and a bunch others...

Side Note: several months ago we eliminated cable, satellite, and any other traditional pay TV service. We did not put up a antenna and did not go all "we don't watch TV or the news cause that is so pedestrian"... We went 100% internet entertainment. We watch "our shows" off hulu.com or the other abc/cbs/nbc/usa/etc web sites. Get our news from google/cnn/bbc/comedycentral. And even the kids watch cartoons and such all online. We have increased our movie purchasing or renting.

This has really caused me too change several of my habits. At first I did not notice, but over several months it became obvious.

  • - One - I am not watching a bunch shit I don't want to watch... AKA no channel flipping.
  • - Two - I have become more discriminating about what I watch, and not less... which I thought it would go the other way, beggars can't be choosers and such.
  • - Three - I honestly have more options in what I am consuming. However that does some time lead into a scary like consumption of a particular piece of content. Such as spending a whole weekend watching nothing but the A-team. Honestly and truly that is not right and I do not recommend it, but I love it when a plan come together.
  • - Four - I have a higher expectation of interactivity and a willingness to share with others what I am watching... for the second half, I apologize!

Either way... I have trailed on to no real point. If you got this far with out closing your browser then I thank you and again I apologize.

Side Note: The big change in the last post was the fact myself and the family are going to be moving back to the Northwest. As you may been able to glean from the domain name "westward.org"... The west is where we prefer to be. My employer has allowed me to work 100% remotely. Which is simply outstanding and just amazing. I really could not be direct at the time, but now things are settled and in process, YA!
