Who owns the truth?

Society is deluged with the truth from every direction. There is simply no shortage of truth, and every one is open and willing to share. However when we pull back the curtain just slightly we realize that it is only their version of the truth. Of course I would never dare to suggest the are lying to us, oh no I will not question their intent. But I will question the basis in which they determine and then allocate that truth.

The mistakes of First Love

Most of us can remember back fondly on our first love. And not that sweet crush in grade school on a teacher or the girl across the room. But that first real knock you to the ground and kick you in the stomach love. Maybe it was the first time you were “intimate” with a person in that ohh so special way. Maybe it was just the innocence in their eyes, their magnetic personality, or just a connection to another soul that can not be explained with words.

Numb

I am growing numb to the chaos around me. Why has my government forsaken the people it was setup to protect. Obama has asked me to have hope, and McCain asks me to trust in experience. Their ability is not in question, just their sincerity. Both of them profit everyday from the system that is tearing down the middle class and driving our poor deeper into poverty and despair.

I do not see the light in the tunnel, as for most Americans some one has turned if off. The arguments are causing me go deaf and I long for the simple sedative of a pointless sitcoms. Those who supposedly report the news are being filtered by the same corporations that remind us spending is the backbone of our economy. Organizations no matter how small that dare to challenge the status quo are deemed as heretics, outcasts, and conspirators.

Reality is an evil mistress

Reality is an evil mistress that quickly reminds of the things we value and treasure. Everyday life tends not to have much to do with reality and truth. Each day we play a delicate game of hide and seek. We attempt to hide that which makes us vulnerable and can hurt us, while at the same time seeking out the same in others. For most, the seeking is noble and we are only interested in protecting and allowing others to confide in us. We know that there is nothing that makes us feel better than to be able to confess that which we are hiding.

Stir it Up!

OK... So I have been a bit more active on the internet lately. Well, not like me being on the internet more, cause that tends to be non-stop and has been for many years. (and not the kind like you better stop or you will go blind kind...)

However I have been a bit more active in participating on the internet and adding my 2 cents. To the point people have commented on it and appreciated it.. WOW! I have to tell you that is a real ego booster.

The first day of the rest of my life...

It seems I have spent a good portion of my life starting. Starting school, starting work, starting driving, starting college, starting relationships, starting having kids, starting new job, starting having more kids, starting, starting, starting, etc, etc, etc.

There is nothing wrong with this, however if one gets caught up in it, one can forget to experience life. One can forget about the journey, and just look for the start and finish line. So as of today (actually a couple weeks ago, but I am just now writing about it, so we will pretend it is today) I am not going to start anything...

I hate Apple!

I am done. I am just simply done... I have a Macbook Pro, an iPod video, and a shuffle... I was happy. I needed nothing else in my world of personal computing and entertainment.

Then they came out with the iTV. hmmm, interesting but I can wait... They put gigabit and USB in the Airport extreme, hmm very cool but I can wait. The iPhone comes out with the touch interface, very sweet but I don't need a phone that sweet, I can wait...

I did buy a Mac!

Me just thinking about a Mac

I went from thinking to buying! Actually have now been a VERY proud owner of a MacBook Pro for a month or two. And I Love It. Oh ya, I will not go back to my icky old PC.

Before buying a Mac I had gone almost 100% Ubuntu (for Personal use). I had loaded Ubuntu as the only OS on my primary Laptop, but still had Windows dual booting on the Desktop. So when I decided to replace the laptop, it became a no-brainier... Did consider getting a Pre-Built Linux box, but nothing came close to everything the Mac has.
